Oh friends, this is the word of the Lord right now. Prepare for war. Wake up the mighty men…
We have been given weapons…from the Lord himself…mighty in God for the pulling down of strongholds.
Friends, we need to watch over our minds. WE need to war against every evil thought that sets itself up against the knowledge of God. We do that in a couple of main ways…
First, we actually know God. You can tell the fake better by handling the real! The more we know the true living God the more we touch him, handle him, taste him – we read his word, it touches our hearts. We pray and his Holy Spirit comes to lead us and teach us. These thoughts we take captive are attacks against the truth of God living in our hearts. They are accusations, half-truths or half-lies that seem real. It’s time for the body of Christ to wake up here.
These accusations came to Jesus in the wilderness, ‘If you are…the Son of God….’ the phrase reeked with doubt and unbelief in who he was. ‘If you are who you believe yourself to be, perform this miracle…’
‘If…?’ Don’t you think it’s about time for many in the body of Christ to wake up to the truth about the sons of God. ‘For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.’ (Rom.8:14) We are sleeping cause we are not walking with the Spirit. Doubt clouds our minds cause we don’t know the true living God. If we knew him, confidence would fill our hearts,…confidence in God’s love for us.
A Second way we take up the offense is through watchfulness in prayer. Prayer is our primary communication tool with God and by default is not passive but active. We are far too passive right now. We need an awakening. An awakening of prayer…this will deal with the passivity ravaging the body of Christ right now like a cancer! Many are paralyzed in their faith, their tongues are tied, and they are afraid to speak out. Folks, that fear you feel, the intimidation to speak out and be a light – that is a literal demon oppressing you!
Resist him and he must flee! We must know God and know the word in this season. Pray for hunger for God’s word right now. It will wash you, introduce you to God and be your weapon against the doubts of the enemy who will clearly not hold his tongue!!!
Wake up mighty men/women of God…of prayer…pick up your weapons…(prayer, fasting, generous giving, blessing your enemies, servant spirit…) Use your weapons, pick up your shield of faith, sword of the Spirit, helmet of salvation, shoes of peace, breastplate of righteousness!
