Revelation 8: 3 – tells us that in heaven at the opening of the seventh seal, an angel with a golden censer is given much incense that he should offer it with the prayers of the saints upon the golden altar which is before the throne…the smoke created by the incense and prayers creates a fire on the altar that when cast to earth (vs. 5) looses ‘noises, thunderings, lightnings and an earthquake.’
Oh my friends, we need to cry out for fire in this hour. Fire that comes from the prayer altar in heaven which is before the throne.
Are we hungry for revival, for renewal?
Friends, when Isaiah saw the Lord he was struck with the uncleanness of his lips. Are we so satisfied with the declarations of our lips that we are no longer crying out for fire on our lips. Oh, my friends, the burden of my heart right now is to get fire on my heart and fire on my lips.
Oh that we would burn with the desires of God right now. That our hearts would burn with the everlasting fires of heaven. The passionate pursuit of the man Jesus who burns with fiery passion for us.
Oh that our prayers would have fire on them. That we would create such a heat with our prayers that it would be from the very furnaces of heaven’s prayer altar.
Do we see that our prayers are necessary for the altar in heaven. The incense and the prayers mixed together created fiery coals that were cast to the earth. Friends, cry out for it now. Ask for a fire that will not be quenched.
How’s your prayer life? Your job is to believe that this is true. To believe there is an altar in heaven that wants to increase your prayer life from a smoldering wick to a raging burning flame. Ask for it! Don’t stop asking until you have it in you? Can a man scoop burning coals into his lap and not get burned? We ask this about ‘adultery’ and staying away from getting burned. But how about scooping some of the fiery coals from the heavenly altar into your bosom…why not, what you got to lose? Why not, be a burning man? What’s stopping you? Do it!
Let’s do it!
