‘Dale, Faith is….’ – Heb. 11: 1

31 08 2007

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

This verse is very meaningful for me right now. I had an experience in Ohio while visiting a friend of mine that landed me in the hospital for about 16 hours. I was fine and God is good but I have to tell you what happened in my room on the cardiac floor. Read the rest of this entry »

Choosing the Wilderness – Heb. 11

20 08 2007

The way of God is the wilderness, it’s always been the wilderness. The way of God is weakness, voluntary weakness!

So I’m sitting listening to Misty and her team singing this chorus during a Worship With the Word set. What she didn’t know [but God did] was that I asked the question at the beginning of the session, ‘Moses, what did you see that made you give up the wealth and power of Egypt for the wilderness?’ [Heb. 11]

Friends, let’s start a discussion. What did Moses see? What would do it for you? What did Moses see that made him choose God over the throne of Egypt? Come on! Is anybody getting my question? Have you ever seen Ancient Egypt? Have you ever seen the grandeur? The power? He had access to it all! But why did he give it up? What did he see that captured his eyes for the rest of his life?

Talk to me!!

‘I Did Not Confer With Flesh and Blood…’ – Gal. 1: 16

5 08 2007

Recently Paul’s account of what happened on the Demascus Road has been touching my heart.

‘The Charging Enemy’ – Standing Against Fear

5 08 2007

One of the most powerful movie scenes filled with male testosterone was of the ‘Battle of Sterling’ in the movie ‘Braveheart’ directed by Mel Gibson. If you’ve seen it, you’ll remember it. It is the first battle he and his men engage with the Northern English Army and they win. Read the rest of this entry »
