‘They were Angels…’

The IHOP-KC community were gathered for a time of prayer and consecration during the Tuesday 4pm intercession meeting. We are gathering together during the final days of this 40-day fast to encourage and minister to the Lord and one another. Allen Hood shared an experience he had and it touched me deeply. I was having a hard day and his testimony broke something open for me.

My heart is so moving with this verse today!!!

3-Day Silent Fast

What a trip! I have to tell you that a 3-day silent fast is right up there with a 3-day Esther fast [no food or water] in degree of difficulty. That could be either just me or the truth; nonetheless it was tough. But….Oh so great!

The Sin of Idleness – Prov. 19:15

40-Day Fast – Day 11-14 [1978-81] ‘Days of Silence’

I have such a real challenge in front of me. I’ve never done this kind of fast before but know, absolutely know, that I am called to it. ‘It’ being a silence fast.

Fascination and the Eye Gate

I have always had an active imagination. I grew up in front of the TV which wasn’t always good. I watched black and white and remember the huge console televisions that took eight guys [that's a made up number] to carry it into the house. I also remember the days color TV came to our home, it was a big deal! Especially on NFL football days.

40-Day Fast – Day 6-7 [1973-74]

73′ – the year of Roe v Wade. The landmark case in the US Supreme Court that opened the floodgate to abortion in our nation….

Jesus, I plead your blood over my sin, and the sins of my nation; God, end abortion and send revival to America!
