Windows on the Human Heart

1 07 2008

I had a very interesting experience yesterday and today that ended up really touching my heart. I have been hanging out in James 1 and the wrestling human heart. It’s the thought that we face difficulties, trials, temptations, etc. and have to wrestle with still seeing God loving us when we are acting like a ‘beast’           (Ps. 73: 21-22). Can God still love me when I am manifesting my weaknesses? Can he still love me when I am a beast, vexed with the war in the arena of my heart? Read the rest of this entry »

‘Can you love me when I’m like this?’ - Ps. 73: 21-26

So it’s been a while…sorry, I’ve been traveling and really into my wife and family recently. I have to tell you something that happened to me in the prayer room last night. I went home changed forever. It was one of those nights where I ran the whole gammit of emotions that ended with a break through. Read the rest of this entry »

The Cry for Justice - Luke 18 (pt.2)

27 04 2008

Last week we were praying with some friends over the adoption of a son, Jeremiah… We prayed with great grace from the Lord and He granted our request. Jeremiah was given this last Friday, April 25th, 2008 to Dean and Chrystal, our friends.

Friends, justice has touched down! When God moved, it took one week! After years of trying and filing papers and defending ‘why’ this request was granted over Jeremiah’s life.

Today, there is no doubt in my mind God is the Just Judge of Heaven who rules over the affairs of men.

Amen!

My son, Jordan, recently told me of a story he heard of where the Lord and Satan were having a conversation similar to the one they had over Job. The punch line was this…the Lord speaking to the devil, ‘Remember whatever you take from him [the person who had this dream of this conversation] you will have to pay back seven (7) times.’

‘Oh that’s no problem,’ said Satan, ‘Christians don’t ask for justice, anyway!’ Read the rest of this entry »

Gideon - Pt. 1

2 04 2008

There are moments in time where God in his mercy and love grants opportunities to turn the course of one’s life in a completely different direction. They are moments where, if attentive and responsive, we can see an entire generational shift in the way life will be walked out with God. Read the rest of this entry »
